1. Overview of Consultation Modalities
OneAdvice connects users with verified experts across diverse disciplines through secure, frictionless real-time channels. This policy outlines the standards of engagement across all modalities.
2. Live Voice Calls (WebRTC)
- Initiation: When a seeker clicks "Call Now", the platform issues a ringing alert with audio chime to the consultant.
- Acceptance Window: The consultant has 60 seconds to accept. If unanswered, the call cancels automatically with zero charge to the seeker.
- Audio Quality & Device Compatibility: We recommend a stable 4G/5G or broadband connection with at least 128 kbps symmetric bandwidth.
- Conclusion & Summary: Either party can hang up at any time. Upon termination, a detailed summary displaying duration, per-minute rate, and total charge is generated instantly.
3. Live Interactive Chat (WebSockets)
- Real-time two-way messaging with delivery receipts, typing indicators, and image/document attachment capabilities.
- Files exchanged must not exceed 10 MB and must be in permitted formats (PDF, PNG, JPG, DOCX). All uploads are scanned for malicious signatures.
4. Written Advisory (Ask a Question)
- Seekers can post detailed queries to an expert pool or select a specific expert.
- Experts provide comprehensive written advisory typically within 24 to 48 hours.
- If an expert fails to respond within the guaranteed turnaround window, the question fee is refunded in full.
5. Pre-Chat Details & Consultation Recordings
Seekers may provide pre-chat summary details prior to connecting with an expert. Consultation voice calls do not maintain permanent recordings unless required for quality assurance or formal dispute investigation.
